Vision

Vision

At Torquay College, we are committed to a whole child approach to education by ensuring all students feel safe, valued and included, so that they can learn effectively and reach their full potential. The collective sum of the diversity of our students, families and staff experiences and backgrounds, is our greatest strength. We draw on the differences in who we are, what we’ve experienced, and how we work and learn to ensure that our school is meeting the needs of all students regardless of gender, sexuality, culture, religion, nationality or ability. We believe that every child should be happy, healthy, safe, engaged, supported and challenged to grow in their educational environment.  Everyone is welcome at Torquay College

Values

Our three College values of Respect, Friendship and Doing Your Best supports our commitment to a whole child approach to education. At Torquay College we believe that every child should be happy, healthy, safe, engaged, supported and challenged to grow in their educational environment

Annual Implementation Plan

The annual implementation plan describes how the key improvement strategies in the school strategic plan, and other significant projects, will be put into operation during the year and how they will be monitored.

It assists schools to:

  • plan and communicate their work for the coming year and how this will lead to achieving their identified goals and targets

  • ensure efficient and effective allocation of resources to complete the work

  • monitor progress and success.

School Strategic Plan

The school community to work together to enable and support all students to reach their full potential as life long  learners and global citizens in an engaging, inclusive and safe environment, underpinned by the school values.

Torquay College acknowledges the Wadawurrung people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live, learn and play and recognise the resilience, strength and pride of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We acknowledge the connection to land, waters and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging throughout Australia.
